Filming "THe life of a pencil"

What job(s) did you have in the making of your video?

I had the job of creating the story in the form of a storyboard, as well as the job of filming it. I took the filming job as well because I was too protective of my storyboard and needed to make sure it was filmed just right.

What was the hardest part of creating your video?

It was the hardest to film the scenes without filming anyones fingers. There are a few scenes where I accidentally caught fingers in the video, but didn't have the time to fix all of them.

What was the most enjoyable part?

The most enjoyable part was when we got to filming the funnier scenes. Most specifically, it was when we got to film the pencils knocking down a bunch of markers with paper clip baseball bats.

Yes, I encountered several interesting career choices that I might consider for the near future. However, not many of them are related to commtecg

Does this require you to go to college after high school?

Yes, all of the career choices I looked at required at least college. Some of them even askec for university

Out of a range from one to ten, what is the chance of you going in this direction

I think I would rate it a 5 because I don't really know if I am interested in going into commtech in the future

Mother's day was first celebrated in the united states in 1909

What do you plan to do for your Mom on this mother's day?

I plan on making my mom a lemon meringue pie

What functions (2) have you found the same (that you already knew)? Explain

the functions that I already knew about were the free transform tool and the brush tool. They appear in photoshop, though the brush tool works slightly different, they are much the same.

Do you feel that using apps form the same group, Adobe, has increased your learning ability? Explain in three sentence

I feel that adobe has enhanced my learning ability because of how compatible they are. Learning one adobe prodcut opens the oppurtunity to learn about another one, because they share much of the same tools and keyboard shortcuts. I think it is nice that most of the programs we use are synchronized like that.

How Accurate is the weather forecast?

Is forecasting the weather a simple task or a very complex one?

Forecasting the weather is a complex task because of all the factors inolved. Some things simply can't be perfectly presicted, such as whether or not precipiation will fall. Not to mention, weather can be chaotic and the longer a forecast you make, the less predictable it will be.

How does the accuracy of a weather forecast today compare to the accuracy of 20 years ago? Look for a specific comparison.

The accuracy has improved significantly from 20 years ago. Now, a five day prediction is accurate as a two day prediction from 20 years ago. This is because of technological advancements allowing more accurate weather predictions. It is still difficult to predict weather long term though.

Our School Checkup

Were you prepared for the day?

I feel I was prepared as I could have been for the day. It wasn't really a big deal for me, after all they would just be watching the class. I hardly noticed them in the first place, and I really don't know why it sounded like such a big deal when everyone was talking about it. I also don't know how one can be prepared for something like that. It's similar to trying to prepare someone to eat something. If they don't like it, you still can't make someone ready to eat it, you just make the food easier to eat (like how the people watching would stay out of the way and not interrupt anything, making them hardly noticeable)

Do you feel the team was impressed?

I really don't know whether or not they were impressed. Since I hardly noticed them in the first place, I didn't really think on their reactions. I hope they are impressed, and I can't really think of a reason they would be severely unimpressed. If I had to guess, I'd say that they thought our school was pretty okay.

Family day

Family day has not been around for too long.

Family day was started in 2008, and was created in Ontario by Dalton McGuinty of the Liberal party.
Why was it started?
Dalton McGuinty started it as a promise. At election time, he promised to have it established if he was reelected (which he was)
